The FC Virginia Beach
SOL are a new team to the Indoor Premier League (IPL), with their home games played at the Virginia Beach Field
House. The FC SOL were established to bring a higher level of competitive indoor soccer to Virginia Beach and Hampton
Roads. The addition of the FC SOL increases the number of teams in the IPL to 6, giving the existing teams another game
in their schedule and a state-of-the-art venue to play in. The FC SOL also hope to enrich our community through our work
with the Virginia Beach Field House’s youth soccer camps, clinics, and tournaments, as well as to provide another facet
to the affordable family entertainment we already offer at the Virginia Beach Field House. Players come from nearby schools,
competitive teams, and clubs. We hope to have a strong showing during our inaugural 2010/2011 winter season, and invite YOU
to come and watch the FC Virginia Beach SOL play in the new Virginia Beach Field House.
Games in the IPL are played on Saturday or Sunday nights
at the host facility. The regular season runs from December through February and concludes in early March with the IPL
Championship Tournament. The shorter summer season runs from June through August. The other teams currently in the IPL
are the Tidewater Sharks (Williamsburg), Richmond Rowdies, Winchester Impact, Dulles AC, and the Fredericksburg
Generals. Three more teams are also submitting applications for entry into the IPL.
